In Episode 49, we bring you a Thermomix tapas feast, created in only 1.5 hours. In no time at all, you’ll have 4 yummy tapas options on the table, ready to go! This is a Thermomix conversion from Jamie Oliver’s recipes featured in 30 Minute Meals and ‘Jamie Does…’. Thanks to Jamie for some great ideas!

Here is the plan for doing the above 4 items in 1.5 hours. Note: for full list of ingredients, click on links above. Code:
PB – Patatas Bravas
PEP – Stuffed Peppers
CHOR – Sticky Chorizo
MAN – Manchego Cheese Board
|PB||Wash or peel / quarter 800g of medium potatoes.|
|PB||500g water in TM bowl. Place potatoes in Varoma receptacle. Steam 15 mins / Varoma / Speed 3.|
|PB||Preheat oven to 210C.|
|PB||Once potatoes have finished steaming, set aside.
Add 2 cloves of garlic and 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary leaves to the TM bowl. Speed 5 / 5 seconds
|PB||Add a lug of olive oil, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1 tsp sea salt & the potatoes.
Reverse + Speed 4 / 5 seconds.
|PB||Tip mixture onto a baking tray, spreading out evenly and cook in the oven for 25 minutes.|
|Clean TM bowl.|
|PEP||Add 100g manchego cheese, 25g rice crumbs, 50g blanched almonds, leaves from a small bunch of fresh thyme, salt, pepper & 10g red wine vinegar.
Speed 8/ 8 seconds. Remove from TM bowl & set aside.
|PB||Add 1 onion, 4 cloves of garlic, 3 red chilli & 1 carrot to TM bowl. Speed 5-6 / 2 seconds.
Add lug of olive oil. Set Varoma / Speed Soft / 8 Mins, MC off
|MAN||Create manchego cheese board. Use a piece of manchego (Spanish sheep’s) cheese and top with runny honey, ground coffee and thyme leaves. Option: serve with bread and olives.|
|PB||Add 400g tin of chopped tomatoes to TM bowl with splash of red wine vinegar / salt / pepper.
Varoma / Speed 1 / 10 mins.
Speed 9 / 1 min to finish.
|PB||When potatoes finish cooking turn heat off in oven.|
|CHOR||Slice 250g chorizo into 2cm rounds. Add to TM bowl. Set Varoma / Reverse + Speed soft / 15 mins|
|PEP||Fill peppers with stuffing and put under the grill for 8 mins.|
|CHOR||Add 40g honey & 80g red wine vinegar. Set Varoma / Reverse + Speed soft / 15 mins|
Note: we served the above with Quirky Jo’s pizza base cooked as a flat bread with olive tapenade on top, from the EDC.
