Our Little Thermomix Magazine is 2!
In Episode 127 we celebrate the 2nd birthday of The 4 Blades Thermomix Magazine. What better way to celebrate than to get all 3 owners on the podcast for a quick chat. In this episode Joe does a very informal interview with Bec and Peta about all things 4 Blades Mag.

What’s New?
We discuss what new things have been implemented in the last 12 months as features for our little Thermomix app. This year we have added:
- Printing and emailing recipes from Apple AND Android devices.
- Suggestions of other recipes to try at the bottom of each recipe.
Easy search capacity (including searching by ingredient and recipe genre) for iPhone (other devices still a work in progress!) - A User Manual to make sure you are getting the most of your mag.
- An Inspiration Index full of nut free recipe ideas.
- A FREE Sampler issue which allows iPhone and Android users try out The 4 Blades Thermomix Magazine before purchasing. This includes some of the best recipes from the 2015 issues.
Bec and Peta’s Favourite Features
Which features are the most loved by Bec & Peta? Peta loves the User Manual that was included earlier in the year. Although the app is set up that you can easily download and use it straight away. The User manual has some tips and tricks to make your experience even better.
Bec is a big fan of the integrated iPhone search feature. If you haven’t tried it already check it out, it’s pretty cool.
What’s Next?
What are the key features that are being worked on right now or at the top of the list? We all agree that bookmarking is the next must have feature. We would love to include the ability for you to mark recipes as favourites, possibly even add notes to recipes. We would also like to continue to improve the search functionality within the app.
Bec & Peta’s Favourite Issue
Peta’s favourite issue? The Dinners Issue. It’s full of quick, easy and impressive dinners. It gets an absolute work out in Peta’s kitchen.
Bec’s favourite issue is The Freezer Issue. Being able to make things ahead of time and pull it out of the freezer, pop it into the oven and serve is such a win. The Sweet Potato & Feta Cannelloni even got a run on launch day.

Bec’s favourite recipe at the moment is the Sweet Potato & Feta Cannelloni from The Freezer Issue mentioned above.
Peta’s favourite recipes at the moment are the Cheese & Leek Tart from The Dinners Issue mentioned above and the Green Chocolate Milkshake from The Healthy New Year Issue.
Where To Start If You’re a Newbie
Bec and Peta share which issue and which recipe they would recommend a newbie thermo mixer start with The 4 Blades Magazine. It’s a bit of a no-brainer… The Easy Issue is a great place for anyone to start. Full of easy recipes that make you look like a pro. Try the 47 minute steak or The Zucchini Lemon Risotto or The Jiffy Cake or the One Bowl Amatriciana Pasta.
