The recipes for this delicious Thermomix Chicken Dinner originally featured in The 4 Blades Magazine: The Christmas Issue. The full dinner included a whole chicken cooked in the Thermomix, three side dishes and a dessert. Of course, just like a lot of the recipes featured in that issue, it’s perfect for other times of the year also. The magazine includes a full timeline (starting from days before the event for maximum time management!) in order to not only get the meal out, but enjoy it too!
Here are the recipes we chose this week:
Recipe 1 – Whole Cooked Chicken (The 4 Blades Mag: The Christmas Issue)
Who knew that a whole chicken cooked in the Thermomix could be so delicious? This chicken was stuffed with Apple & Fennel Stuffing… yummy in it’s own right! This was a 1.3kg chicken that was steamed in the Thermomix for an hour before being transferred to the oven for 20 minutes to crisp up the skin.
Recipe 2 – Pesto Potatoes (from The 4 Blades)
This delicious side dish is easy and yum and goes very well with our Thermomix chicken dinner. It’s a perfect midweek side that goes well for lunch the next day too!
Recipe 3 – Nutty Smashed Sprouts with Bacon (from The 4 Blades)
Another delicious side for our Thermomix Chicken dinner! An easy way to mix up the veggies in your life to include some brussel sprouts! Not a big sprout lover? Give it a try!
Here are some cool tips from this podcast…
– soaking the chicken in salt water (this is called brining) helps lead to a juicier end-product. In short, the tastiest Thermomix chicken dinner you could imagine.
– pesto in the Thermomix is super easy and versatile. Get creative!
– another idea for a yummy potato side dish is our Patatas Bravas. Consider using some of the seasoning on the chicken!
