Thai spiced pumpkin & coconut soup with fresh crusty bread & real butter
Wow guys, Thinking that for food photographers you make great podcast hosts! hahaha, thanks for the interview and hoping that these pics put no one off! xx
Hahahaha! Oh we do too! All listeners please note… The 4 Blades food photography does no justice to Tenina’s recipes… but they always taste delicious!
Can’t wait to make the raw spinach soup as my favourite soup is gazpacho.
Tenina’s ginger & 5 spice Beetroot is a favourite in our house.
My choice would be Spicy Sweet Potato and Pumpkin soup!
A real winner! Just the right amount of spice, always easily adjustable with a little less or more chilli. This is my all time favourite soup absolutely SO full of flavour!

Our favourite soup is Quirky Jo’s Creamy Chicken and Brown Rice Soup. Everyone loves it! Whenever I make it and take it to work everyone wants some! http://quirkycooking.blogspot.com.au/2010/07/creamy-chicken-brown-rice-soup.html
We like the curried lentils carrot cashew soup (http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/soups-recipes/curried-lentil-carrot-cashew-soup/78964) and would love to discover these nice new soups !
Thanks for the great podcast.
I love any chicken soup recipe. I just
Listened to a 4 blades podcast the other day mentioning Tenina’s podcast was coming up so looking forward to hearing it and trying the recipes
Our family love potato and leek soup. Especially with home grown leeks. Tasty!
I make a thermi version of this Moroccan Lamb soup with leftover slow roast lamb shoulder.
http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/27441/moroccan+lamb+soup
I adjust the quantities to fit my thermi and if I want to make a bigger batch, I start off in the thermi and transfer to the stove when adding the stock.
I chop and cook the fresh veggies in the thermi, add the spices and continue to cook, then add the left over roasted veggies, the jelly from the lamb roast and stock (made with stock paste), tomatoes and cook further. Lastly I add the shredded lamb and the lentils and cook until the lentils are tender.
If I don’t want to make the soup after the lamb roast, I freeze the shredded lamb and the jelly so it’s ready to make a quick meal another day.
I make a few variations using the pumpkin soup recipe in EDC, usually involving partially or completely replacing pumpkin with sweet potato &/or lentils &/or carrots and then, driven by what I feel like or have on hand, add ginger, chilli, cumin, coriander (ground or fresh). And sometimes I just make it according to the recipe!
I recently made the White Fish Chowder – Cooking on a Budget Thermomix. Even had leftovers which I thickened & made into a pie. Very nice.
I love soup! I wish my husband did more too as he doesn’t see it as ‘a meal’! This Coconut Lemon Soup is my new favourite – so full of flavour and goodness and it is a meal in a bowl!

I make a wicked creamy cheesy cauliflower and bacon soup. Cooking the cauli in milk and adding white or blue castello before blitzing in the Thermie. Add diced bacon as a hearty garnish. The soup is sooooo smooth and delicious. I think it would also make a fantastic white sauce for those who don’t like to use flour to thicken white sauce.
Love Tenina’s recipes and your podcasts.
We love Quirky Jo’s Chicken and Brown Rice Soup but the EDC Spicy MoroccanLentil Soup is a close second.
We have a different favourite each year, this year was the EDC Spicy Moroccan Lentil Soup. I’m going to suggest Tenina”s cookbooks on my Christmas Wishlist !
Amazing as always!!!
I’m obsessed with my Bacon and Red Lentil soup at the moment. Can’t wait to try the others mentioned!
http://www.trtlmt.com.au/bacon-red-lentil-soup/
I made this a week or so ago and used the thermomix to blitz up at the end, beautiful flavours.

It’s vegan, dairy and wheat free.
Thanks!
Kristen
My favourite soup is the Rockpool’s Cream of Cauliflower – who knew cauliflower could be so delicious (no seriously – it is AMAZING)!
http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/soups-recipes/rockpool’s-cream-cauliflower-soup-parmesan/53571
My family totally agree with Holly about Quirky Jo’s soup but I add lots of zucchini noodles to it at the end. I love making bouillabaise in the TM31 because it takes less effort than going for takaway and I can sip wine by the pool while it cooks on a Friday night http://cafedisarray.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/the-best-thermomix-bouillabaisse.html
We enjoy a simple pumpkin soup but also like how easy Josh’s Chicken and Sweet Corn Soup from the Recipe Community is. http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/soups-recipes/joshs-chicken-and-sweet-corn-noodle-soup/167382
We love soup and it’s a lunch-time staple in our household and for school lunches. We have a few faves, including Quirky’s cold busting soup, Coconut Lemon Chicken Soup (already mentioned) and the UK TM demo special “Tomato and Red Pepper Soup”, but one my son recently requested is another particular favourite: Chicken and Fresh Turmeric Soup. This is so hearty and just right for our Autumnal weather up here right now: http://quirkycooking.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/soup-weather-and-old-favourites-like.html
😀
Is it too tight to mention MeandMythermie’s mysterious ‘leftovers soup’?
The ingredients are NEVER constant, and it gives me a good ‘wartime’ feel eating them.
> I did tell you I was tight
I love soups!! Another vote for the creamy chicken and brown rice soup from quirky cooking. It never fails and is always delicious
My favourite soup to make is Quirky Jo’s Creamy Chicken and Brown Rice Soup. It is so tasty.
I’ve made a few lovely soups in my TMX but this lentil soup surprised me with how delicious it was. http://thermomixtarifdefterim.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/farro-lentil-soup.html
My favourite is the Beef and Udon soup. When I saw that recipe shared as a special treat somewhere else, I left the office that Friday afternoon and ran like a adrenalin pumped game show contestant to the nearest supermarket. It was somewhere between Masterchef and Biggest Loser and I was THE ONE…the ONE contestant. That soup is magnificent, it’s a single girl’s dream. I love being able to keep the components separate and build it again the next day. I have a photo too, I WILL find a place for it. I WILL!
My favorite is pumpkin and garlic. No repice just throw it all in and adjust to taste 🙂
My favorite soup is the one that someone else makes me after a long tiring day! Tenina’s recipe’s would be great for my husband and kids to make!!
