T4B047: Interview with Peta from The Road to Loving My Thermo Mixer

Jun 9, 2014

In Episode 47, we had the pleasure of interviewing Peta, from The Road to Loving My Thermo Mixer. Described as super woman by many, we get into the details of how she creates the recipes that she does, where her inspiration comes from, and her advice for getting the most out of your Thermomix investment on your own road to loving your Thermomix… whether it be love at first sight or not!

Click on the play button at the top or download this in iTunes or on Stitcher Radio  (and please don’t forget to leave a review – it really makes our day!)

In this interview, Peta shares how she went from wanting to sell her Thermomix to having a growing online community of over 35000 followers, sharing recipes and encouraging new and creative ways of using the Thermomix.

She highlights an important fact that all new Thermomix owners should be aware of: cooking with a Thermomix is a new way of cooking, and you need to give yourself an ‘adjustment period’ to get used to it. Pick some recipes you’d like to try as a starting point. The more you use the machine, the more comfortable you will become with it… OR the more comfortable that you will be with your decision that the Thermomix is not for you, if you’ve given it a really good go.

Some of the questions we asked Peta were…

– How much time do you dedicate to recipe creation and testing each week? How many times does each recipe get tested to get Peta’s tick of approval?

– What happens to all the food you make?

– How does she make recipe conversions?

– Where does she get her inspiration for her recipes from? (PS. 90% of her recipes are originals!)

We also ask her about her favourite recipes…
