Looking for Thermomix Footy Food the family will LOVE?
Do you have a footy lover at your place? If you do (especially if it’s you!), you must check out Episode 101: Thermomix footy food! Delicious food that packs a serious flavour punch. Disclaimer: Bec doesn’t really like football, but still loves these foods. Chances are you will too.
The recipes we featured this week are:
Recipe 1 – Thin & Crispy Grain & Gluten Free Pizza Bases (from The 4 Blades)
Confession: We have actually been making these pizza bases for some time now. We have tweaked and tweaked the recipe and love it dearly… but we are only sharing it with you now. Why have we been holding out? Well… we haven’t had the occasion to share! Well, this is it! You can follow the recipe as it is written or, if you are running short of time, you can throw everything in at once, whiz it up and cook it straight away. This recipe makes about 3 large bases, but can be doubled easily.
- Don’t forget to grate your cheese BEFORE making your pizza base. We don’t want you stuck without cheese!
- The Pizza Sauce from the Make Your Own Subscriber-Only Bonus Issue of our magazine is the bomb.com Give it a shot!
- We love a sprinkle of Italian Seasoning and dried garlic granules on our pizza sauce, under our toppings.
- Don’t overload your pizza base, especially towards the middle!
Recipe 2 – Crispy Potato Bites (from The 4 Blades)
When we took these Crispy Potato Bites out of the oven for the first time it was love at first bite. Seriously. The crispy outside and gooey potato inside was mind blowing. They make the most DELICIOUS Thermomix footy food that everyone will love. Everyone. The downside of these is that they need to set overnight before cooking. Which isn’t a BAD thing, because if they were any easier you would likely never eat anything else ever again.
Recipe 3 – Easy Mexican Beef (from The 4 Blades)
We all love ‘set and forget’ meals in the Thermomix. Even better when the preparation is dead easy as well, as is the case with this Easy Mexican Beef Thermomix Recipe. Full of flavour from common household ingredients like taco seasoning, tomato paste and mustard, you simply throw the ingredients in and let the beef cook away. After cooking for about an hour you use your Thermomix to shred the Mexican beef slightly which gives it the best consistency for burritos and nachos. It’s a perfect beef Thermomix recipe that you will come back to time and time again.
BONUS Recipe 4 – Beef Potatchos…
See that pic above for the Easy Mexican Beef? Well, that is Joe’s creation… potatchos! The Easy Mexican Beef on the Crispy Potato Bites. Joe couldn’t be happier!
Here are some cool tips from this podcast…
- As per Episode 83: Thermomix Chickpea Recipes, it’s actually cheaper to buy besan flour (chickpea flour) than make it yourself.
